Hey y'all! Welcome back to another magical moment in 90s culture! This movie, being a Robin Williams film aside, set the precedent for millennial humor in so many ways. Some of us were introduced to drag for the first time, and we didn't even bat an eye. We're just like yea, that makes sense; a man dresses like an old lady, full prosthetic face and bodysuit, all so he can spend time with his kids. However, teaching kids and adults that even though you're going through something messy and world-shattering, like a divorce, that doesn't mean you can't learn new ways to still be a family. Mrs. Doubtfire says it, "Just because mommy and daddy don't love each other anymore, doesn't mean that they don't love you. There are all sorts of different families. Some families have one mommy, some families have one daddy, or two families. And some children live with their uncle or aunt. Some live with their grandparents, and some children live with foster parents. And some live in separate homes, in separate neighborhoods, in different areas of the country - and they may not see each other for days, or weeks, months... even years at a time. But if there's love, dear... those are the ties that bind, and you'll have a family in your heart, forever." No matter what type of family dynamic you have, "love is all you need".
