My daughter, Maddie Kelly returns to the podcast. At Harvard, she studies human evolutionary biology, focusing on the environments of our ancient African ancestors. In the summer of 2019, she traveled to Kenya to participate in The Koobi Fora Field School to learn the basic principles and field methods of paleoanthropology “on location”. When she came back, she was full of excitement. On this episode, she chronicles her incredible experience in Kenya.
Episode Description
Maddie is currently a fourth year student at Harvard, and will be graduating in May 2020. She studies human evolutionary biology, focusing on the environments of our ancient African ancestors. While at Harvard, she has been a part of the yearbook and club lacrosse team. To find balance in her life, she loves to bake, walk dogs, or settle down in front of a great tv show. She hopes to pursue a career in research in human evolution and science outreach.
