Ms Rachel Backs Macklemore's Gaza Stand | San Antonio News

Ms. Rachel is stepping up with a powerful statement, matching Macklemore’s $1 million donation to aid groups in Gaza — and calling out wealthy white celebrities to do the same. She’s not just donating; she’s demanding accountability, highlighting that over 20,000 Palestinian children have been killed and urging everyone with influence to act. Macklemore made his donation public after being dropped from Ed Sheeran’s tour for speaking out — a move that sparked backlash when Kraft, who owns Gillette Stadium, later donated $2 million alongside Sheeran. While Sheeran claimed he doesn’t use his platform for politics and said his audience includes kids, other acts pulled out in support of Macklemore. Ms. Rachel criticized Sheeran for backing down under pressure, sharing a gut-wrenching story about a nine-year-old in detention to underscore the human cost.
