Cheyja Andrews is a 39 year old military brat who was born in San Antonio, Texas and raised in Hampton, Virginia. She is an Alumni of Virginia State University, where she was fascinated with the mind and majored in Psychology. She is a member of the dynamic ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Cheyja had a strong love for young people and started her early career as a teacher at George Wythe High School. But she would soon discover her gift of gab would lead her into the world of radio. Radio One became her new home and radio personality “Chey Butta” was born. Cheyja was the Promotions Director of Radio One and went on to work for Radio One Corporate in Washington DC as Assistant to VP of Marketing Barry Macon. After a little over a year Cheyja was offered the opportunity to go on tour with R&B singer Chris Brown. While being on the road her networking was expounded more then she could have ever imagined. In 2013 Cheyja was ready to settle down in one location and started a new venture with the Department of Defense at the “NLSC” The National Language Service Corp. This is where Cheyja experienced a revelation of her passion for people and why she was created. She soon discovered that people saw the world through the flashlights that shined from their own minds. She learned that perspective is based off of individual cultures and experiences. Here is where Cheyja started an organization called “DYSOL” Do You Speak Our Language and the Speak Life Curriculum was created. She is now living on purpose to intentionally Speak Life to people all over the world. Speak Life helps to renew the mind and bring you back to the original purpose for which you were created.
