from Pittsburgh All Local

A new iPhone feature is causing concern. As NewsRadio KDKA's Shelby Cassesse reports, it may not be as dangerous as some think: Along with the IOS 17 came NameDrop, which is automatically on following the update. Cybersecurity experts like Duquesne University's Tom Dugas say it could - in theory - make your information easier to get, but it's not as simple as some are making it out to be. There are plenty of prompts before your information is shared.  To turn the feature off, go to settings - general - airdrop - and make sure bringing devices together is off.
