MTP 67- TackleBar

from Making The Play with Dave Briglio · host Making The Play Radio

This week my guest is Tim Healy, President/CEO of TackleBar Football, addressing the current crisis in youth football: an alarming 30% reduction in youth participation, with concussions and youth injuries at the center of the discussion. Parents are paying more attention, the numbers are declining, and it is affecting every level of football. TackleBar Football eliminates tackling while still maintaining contact. Players learn the fundamentals of the game while decreasing their chances of concussions and injuries at such a young age. Tim saw this first hand, with over 2000 kids having fun and safely playing TackleBar Football last year, they had ZERO concussions. Moms have told Tim they actually enjoyed watching the game of football once they realized their sons were not going to get hurt."I have been around football my whole life, playing 4 years at St. John’s University and spending the summer of 1987 in the New Orleans Saints training camp—the best two weeks of my life! I coached for 3 years at Roseville High School and over 10 years of youth teams with my 3 sons. I love football. I have learned so many life lessons and made lifelong friends on and around the field. It is sad to know that fewer boys will have this same opportunity to form their character and grow in virtue, perseverance, teamwork, brotherhood, and both mental and physical toughness. I believe that something has to change at the youth level or football will change as we know it. TackleBar Football is the answer. This will save the game we love." - Tim Healyhttps://tacklebar.com/
