Årets sidste dag markerer også enden på en æra: MTV lukker sine sidste rene musikkanaler i Europa. MTV Hits, MTV Live, MTV Club, MTV 80s og MTV 90s går i sort, og tilbage er kun minderne om en kanal, der ændrede popkulturen for altid. I K-Live skriver vi en nekrolog over musikvideoens højborg og spørger, hvad MTV betød for musikken, ungdomskulturen og hele måden, vi opdagede musik på. Med i studiet er Thomas Madvig, der var vært på MTV i 90'erne, og som giver et sjældent øjenvidne fra kanalens storhedstid, dengang MTV satte dagsordenen for verdens lyd og billeder.
