Much-anticipated Global Citizens Festival kicks off next week

SAfm — The Global Citizen Festival heads to our shores next week with an all-star concert headlined by Beyoncé & Jay Z, Cassper Nyovest, D'banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Pharrell Williams, Chris Martin, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher, and Wizkid at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. Tittled "Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100", the festival will also be in celebration and honour of former president Nelson Mandela's 100th anniversary of his birth. Presented and hosted by the Motsepe Foundation, Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 is a free-ticketed concert. Sakina caught up with founder and CEO of the festival Hugh Evans and business woman Dr Precious Motsepe.
