The Sermon on the Mount ends with three pairs of contrasts. The contrasts are between: two kinds of judgments, two kinds of houses and two kinds of teachers. These verses hold the key to understanding assurance in the face of warning, survival in the midst of storms, and truth in the face of conflicting authorities.
