Mulholland Drive (Cannes 2001)

Ich hatte bereits dreimal das kuriose Vergnügen, den «Jimmy Stewart from Mars» zu interviewen, wie Mel Brooks einst David Lynch treffend genannt hat. Bei Mulholland Drive (2001) war es im Rahmen eines Gruppengesprächs in Cannes, bei dem er auf seine bodenständig-freundliche Art Antworten gab, die meist so schwer greifbar waren wie die Ideen, die Lynch «wie Fische» durch den Kopf schwimmen.
