Mulholland Drive (Cannes 2001)

from Filmpodium Zurich TALKS · host Filmpodium Zürich

Michel Bodmer, Stellvertretender Leiter Filmpodium Zürich I have already had the curious pleasure of interviewing "Jimmy Stewart from Mars" (as Mel Brooks once aptly dubbed David Lynch) three times. For Mulholland Drive (2001), it was at a round table in Cannes, where the answers he gave in his friendly down-to-earth manner tended to be as slippery and elusive as the ideas that swim "like fish" through Lynch's mind.
