from Nothing Off Limits® · host Michelle Ann Owens - Ladyfox Entertainment, LLC

This is sure to inspire the creatives out there! Chesher Cat is a photographer, filmmaker, writer, director, and storyteller based in New York. She began her career as a rock and roll photographer and journalist, shooting hundreds of performances up and down the west coast, including Led Zeppelin, Elton John, the Eagles, George Harrison, the Bee Gees, to name a few. She has published two coffee-table books, STARART and Everybody I Shot Is Dead. STARART was published December, 1979 and is now an out-of-print collector's item. Chesher has a few copies of the trade edition left as well as the leather-bound Limited Edition signed by the artists.  To order, visit http://www.cheshercat.com/shop-starart/ More recently, Chesher has directed two short films, End of the Innocents and Chuck E.'s Too Big A Deal. She is currently working on her third film, My First Kiss, inspired by her wild and wonderful rock and roll experiences. Today, we talk about all of this as well her latest multimedia project called Under New York City which explores, documents and sheds light on New York's amazing underbelly - the subway system, sewers, catacombs, and the people who pass through, work, or live in these places. Hear how Chesher got started in her career, about her special connection with Joni Mitchell, her heartwarming story of her visit to Paris, the risks she took to capture rarely visited catacombs, what she thinks about drone photography and why she's excited about her latest project. For more information, visit www.cheshercat.com To order prints of her amazing rock photography, visit http://www.cheshercat.com/music-prints/ To find out more about her upcoming project Under New York City, visit www.Undernyc.org A special thank you to Michael Roderick, a previous NOL guest who spoke about connectors, for practicing what he preaches!  I was pleased to connect with such a passionate, fascinating artist as Chesher. Note:  We had some connectivity issues on the day we recorded, so please bear in mind the more "raw" recording of this conversation....one reason why I love podcasting!
