MULTIPLYING WHAT GOD GAVE YOU
from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix
Devotional Message: Scripture: “To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one—each according to his ability… After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them.” – Matthew 25:15,19 (NIV) In the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14–30), Jesus teaches us a powerful lesson about responsibility, accountability, and productivity. Each servant was entrusted with a different amount—not based on favoritism, but according to their ability. What mattered most wasn't how much they received, but what they did with what they had. The faithful servants took what their master gave them and multiplied it. They worked diligently and doubled the investment. As a result, they received the master's praise: "Well done, good and faithful servant." But the one who buried his talent out of fear and complacency lost even the little he had. This parable challenges us: Are we multiplying what God has entrusted to us—our time, skills, opportunities, and resources? Or are we playing it safe, hiding our potential because of fear, laziness, or self-doubt? God doesn’t expect perfection; He expects faithfulness. He blesses your efforts when you step out in obedience. The goal isn’t just personal success, but bringing kingdom impact with what He’s placed in your hands. Reflection: What gifts, ideas, or opportunities has God placed in your life? Are you actively using and growing them—or keeping them buried? Prayer: Almighty Father, thank You for entrusting me with gifts and opportunities. Help me to be a faithful steward who multiplies what You’ve given me—not for my glory, but for Your kingdom. Replace my fear with faith and help me to use every gift to honor You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
