El logro fue para Marcelo "Pipo"Costa, oriundo de Las Toninas, que junto a su esposa Sandra Acuña, formaron parte de la Delegación Argentina que participó del mundial en Eindhoven, Holanda. Además se batieron récords nacionales en otras disciplinas relacionadas y pudieron superar marcas personales. El hecho pone de manifiesto la capacidad profesional de nuestros vecinos quienes fueron por su propio medio sin ninguna ayuda oficial.
