Hace cinco mil años, a finales de la Edad de Piedra, antes de que se construyesen las pirámides de Egipto, los pueblos paganos de las Islas Británicas construyeron uno de los monumentos más grandes del mundo antiguo. Por todo el paí­s fueron erigidas fabulosas construcciones de madera, tierra y piedra. Entraremos en el mundo de sus constructores. Viajaremos de los antiguos pueblos de piedra de las Islas Orcadas, frente a la costa norte de Escocia, a Stonehenge, en el sur de Inglaterra. Este episodio muestra una asombrosa nueva teorí­a sobre el papel que esta extraordinaria estructura desempeñó en las vidas de las personas que la construyeron. Utilizando animación por ordenador, reconstruiremos el monumento tal y como lo vieron aquellas gentes. Después, llegaremos hasta el hermano perdido de Stonehenge: Woodhenge. También exploraremos los secretos de Silbury Hill, el túmulo más grande del mundo realizado por el hombre. Asimismo, examinaremos la enorme obra que supuso el castillo Maiden, testigo del final del mundo pagano. Utilizando las últimas técnicas de investigación arqueológica y una nueva comprensión sobre las creencias paganas, este programa reunirá las pruebas y gracias a la animación por ordenador reconstruirá el mundo perdido de los pueblos paganos.
