Her phone, keys, and purse were left behind; an empty duplex next door burned same day. Investigators flagged Lawson’s shifting story and cell-tower pings. His brother Bob later confessed they dumped Bethany’s body off the Parks Highway and torched the duplex to hide evidence. Bethany’s remains were recovered a year later.
