The Museo del Paesaggio, located in the evocative rooms of the historic Palazzo Viani Dugnani, houses the most important collection of works of art on Lake Maggiore, testifying to the ability of the area to attract collectors, patrons, and artists of international renown between the 19th and 20th centuries. The sculpture collection includes over 300 works, mainly plaster casts, by Paolo Troubetzkoy and a core of 53 works by Arturo Martini. The painting collection features works by Daniele Ranzoni, Luigi Litta, Federico Ashton, Achille Tominetti, Eugenio Gignous, Guido Boggiani, Arnaldo Ferraguti, Vittore Grubicy De Dragon, Carlo Fornara, Cesare Maggi, Guido Cinotti, Siro Penagini and Mario Tozzi. The photo gallery exhibition is enriched by two significant 16th-century paintings by Paolo Veronese, recently loaned to the museum by the Piedmont Region. The museum's cultural offer includes a rich programme of events, meetings, and temporary exhibitions annually.
