Mushrooms are an amazing life form that have so many benefits for our society.   Shannon Mead from No More Butts is working with a new mushroom technology that is cleaning up the waste from cigarette butts.  Cigarette butts contain plastic and all sorts of toxic chemicals that are horrible for our environment.  Shannon and his team have figured out a way to use cigarette butts as food for a variety of oyster mushrooms that can naturally decompose the cigarette butt and leave nothing but  mushroom mycelium that can be used for a variety of industrial uses.
