Music of the Mountains Where to be and what to see: Noah G. Fowler

from The Mountain-Ear Podcast · host The Mountain-Ear Staff

In elementary school in southcentral Pennsylvania, Noah G. Fowler recalls having a small orchestra program. Kids would put their names in to be drawn for a certain instrument, and teachers would pick a name at random at the start of the school year. Luckily for Noah, he was the only student interested in playing the upright bass. He took lessons at his school and played in the orchestra. When he got into high school, he signed up for an in-school coffeehouse program to perform covers and originals. He started learning guitar, drums, piano, and pretty much every instrument he could get his hands on.Our theme song is courtesy of singer-songwriter Brittney Wagner.
