Music Teacher Accused of Targeting Teen | Newark News

A 72-year-old music instructor in West Milford faces serious charges after allegedly attempting an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student he tutored privately. Bendzak was arrested Wednesday morning near Morsetown Road and is expected to remain under pretrial monitoring while awaiting court proceedings — a case that underscores the critical need to safeguard youth, especially when adults hold positions of influence over them.
