Para todos los gustos musicales, esta es una gran oportunidad de conocer a excelentes músicos. Comenzamos conversando con Michael Fleiner, quien liderea El Septeto Internacional de Jazz. Esta agrupación radica en Suiza, con 7 músicos de Europa y América Latina. La agrupación esta conformada por el célebre trompetista cubano Juan Munguía, quien fue trompetista líder del grupo Irakere de Chucho Valdéz; el bajista brasilero Eduardo “Dudu” Penz, quien ha tocado con Giovanni Hidalgo, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Celia Cruz; el saxofonista español Manuel “Lolo” García; el conguero suizo Stéphane Jorg “El niño”; el baterista suizo Daniel Bagutti y el trombonista Bernhard Bamert. El Septeto Internacional de Jazz, se presentará los días Miércoles 1° de diciembre en The Jazz Place, ubicado dentro de Galería Plaza de las Estrellas, Melchor Ocampo 193, Local E16; el 2 de diciembre en Pachuca Hidalgo, en el Che Taco y el sábado 3 de diciembre en Casa de Suiza, ubicada en el Bosque de Chapultepec, junto al Museo Tamayo. Posteriormente charlamos con Ninah, cantautora originaria de Puebla, que después de lanzar su primera grabación de estudio en el 2014, nos representó dignamente en el Festival de Viña del Mar de ese mismo año. "No te Olvides De Mí", fue la canción seleccionada para representar a México, de entre más de 500 canciones de todo el mundo, enfrentándose a Canadá, Chile, Rumanía, Inglaterra e Italia. Su canción fue coreada en la Quinta Vergara durante la apertura del show de Ricky Martin. Este tema forma parte del álbum debut de Ninah producido por Memo Gil. Su pop orgánico nos hace disfrutar desde una tarde entre amigos, una cena romántica con tu pareja o en un paseo dominical por la ciudad. Finalizamos este podcast platinado con Andrés Vignau, cantautor multi-instrumentalista de Pop Alternativo, originario de Monterrey. Actualmente promociona su EP: "Nadie Más Que Tú", el cual ha sido muy bien recibido y comentado por el público en general. Sus melodías amables, con letras simples, se complementan de tendencias musicales como el dance, funk y rock. Su voz aterciopelada, mezclada con un sonido electrónico, nos lleva de la mano entre los nuevos sonidos mexicanos del siglo XXI. Rania Awaad Muslim Central Dr. Rania Awaad M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Stanford University School of Medicine where she is the Director of the Stanford Muslim Mental Health & Islamic Psychology Lab as well as Stanford University’s Affiliate Chaplain. In the community, she serves as the Executive Director of Maristan.org, a holistic mental health nonprofit serving Muslim communities, and the Director of The Rahmah Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating Muslim women and girls. In addition, she is faculty of Islamic Psychology at Cambridge Muslim College and The Islamic Seminary of America.She is also a Senior Fellow for Yaqeen Institute and the Institute of Social Policy and Understanding. Prior to studying medicine, she pursued classical Islamic studies in Damascus, Syria, and holds certifications (ijaza) in the Qur’an, Islamic Law, and other branches of the Islamic Sciences. Mohammad Qutub Muslim Central Dr. Mohammad Qutub is an Islamic scholar with several decades of experience as a teacher and orator. He completed his Master’s and PhD degrees in Uṣūl al-Dīn and Comparative Religion at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and has several Ijāzahs (licenses) and certificates in Qur’an, Hadith, etc. He has spoken internationally in the Middle East, the U.S., and Southeast Asia and regularly holds intensive seminars and university lectures. His passions and research revolve around: Islamic thought and history, Qur’anic Tafsīr, scientific Iʿjāz (inimitability) in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and comparative religion. He teaches students of all different ages and backgrounds in-person and online. He is also an engineer by profession with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the U.S., and extensive experience in the field of Industrial Gases.
