What role does "empathy" play for literature, theater, music, and philosophy? Theoreticians and practitioners discuss this question in the CAS lecture series of the winter semester 2021/22. The lecture series is part of the CAS research focus "Empathy" under the auspices of the English scholar Prof. Dr. Claudia Olk (LMU). | Igor Levit is one of the world's best-known pianists and professor of piano at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. When public performances were not possible due to the Covid pandemic, Levit gave a series of 52 "house concerts" via Twitter and Instagram starting in March 2020. | David Trippett is Director of Studies in Music at Christ's College, University of Cambridge, and currently a Fellow at CAS. | Magdalena Zorn is a musicologist at LMU and researches, among other things, musicalized light spaces of the German post-war avant-garde.
