Music's Psychological Effect on Humans (GI SAID IT)
from GI SAID IT Insight Lectures Hosted by GI Griffin
GI gives his perspective as a professional DJ and mix engineer on how music has psychological effects on humans. Music psychology isn’t just a nerdy field for academics—it’s the art and science that controls your favorite nights out, emotional breakdowns, and maybe even your plants. Yeah, I said plants. We’re breaking it all down right here, no fluff, no sugar-coating. BREAKDOWN 🎧 DJs Aren’t Just “Song Players” 🍹 Music Makes You Social (or Not) 🔊 Bass = Power Play 🎶 Music Is Your Emotional Therapist ⚖️ Don’t Become a Music Zombie 🌱 Plants Love Music Too (No Joke) 💬 Why Do People Experience Music Differently? Music Isn’t Background Noise—It’s Influence Still think music doesn’t matter? Take a look around. It’s everywhere—streaming services, DJ Mixshows, YouTube ads, even elevators. Why? Because it molds emotions, shapes experiences, and tells stories better than words ever could. At its core, music psychology isn’t fluffy science—it’s control. Whether it’s a DJ tweaking emotional vibes, a sad song helping you through a tough time, or even your plants vibing out to Mozart, music is a tool of influence. The question is, how are you using it? Don’t believe me? Start paying attention to how music makes you feel and act. Because trust me, it’s doing way more than you think.
