MUSTAFA is a DJ, Music Producer and head of label Staff Productions. He was born in Paris in 1970 and started to work as a DJ in the late eighties playing Soul, Funk and Acid- Jazz. In 1994, he moved to London and discovered the House and Garage scene and became resident of a few venues such as Bar Royale and the O'Bar in Soho. After two years living in London, he moved to the Canary Islands (Tenerife and Gran Canaria) to play in Clubs for the holiday season and got deeper in his knowledge of the Latin Music (Salsa, Merengue). Back in Paris in 1997, he started to work for a record company and became resident DJ in a few venues like Impala Lounge, Eurosport Cafe, Chesterfield. The big switch came in 2001 when he moved to Brazil and settled in the Favella de Vidigal in Rio de Janeiro, where he recorded his first album "Mustafa-De Paris ao Vidigal", mixing Brazilian Music with different rhythms like 2 step, House, Drum n Bass, R'n'B, Breakbeat. His songs have been featured on various compilations and his latest album “Ginga Brasileira“ features remixes from Mo' Horizons, Mj Cole, Groove Assassins, Anto Vitale, Dom Navarra, Steven Stone, Léo Cuenca.You can find some of his releases on Stalwart, Tempogroove, Blockheadz recordingz, and his own label Staff Productions. He has also done some remixes for the likes ofKiko Navarro, Steven Stone, Sunlightsquare.
