Dr. Ray Casciari from St. Joseph in Orange explains that the COVID vaccine has continued to evolve, but this flu season is especially concerning because a mutated “subclade K” flu strain is spreading rapidly. With the CDC offering little guidance and the current flu shot only about 50% effective, experts are warning of a potentially severe outbreak and an unpredictable season.
