Moses and Aaron also disobeyed God. It was when God told Moses to tell the rock to give water so that the people and their cattle could drink. Instead of telling the rock to yield water as God had commanded him, Moses instead used his staff and hit the rock twice.Therefore, when Moses wanted to cross the Jordan and see the Promised Land. But because of his sin at the rock in the wilderness, God would not allow Moses to cross into Canaan. Instead, God chose a young man named Joshua to be the one who would lead the people into Canaan.Finally, God led Moses, who was 120 years old, to the top ofMount Nebo and showed him the whole land He had promised to give His people. Then Moses died, and God Himself buried Moses in Moab.
