Rounders Review

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. TFG1Mike and Doug Abel dive into the 1998 poker film Rounders, starring Matt Damon and Edward Norton. They discuss the film's solid cast including John Malkovich, Famke Janssen, and Martin Landau, the various poker variants featured throughout, and how the movie captures the underground card-game world rather than glitzy casino settings. While Doug found the poker mechanics challenging to follow, Mike praises the writing, pacing, and performances. The hosts reflect on the film's modest box-office performance and Miramax's impressive 1990s catalog.
