My Bold Predictions For The 2023 College Football Season: Part 4 | College Football 2023

It is that time of the week to talk about bold predictions for this coming College Football season. I want to give the person watching this video (and this description) a massive thank you. I never thought I would have a successful video series going, but I do, thanks to your support. So please give yourself a pat on the back if you have been watching this series. Today will be the 4th video of my bold predictions series, and there will be more released before the regular season ends in late August. My first bold prediction in today's video and seventh overall is that USC defensive coordinator Alex Grinch will be fired in disgrace after the Trojans go 9-3 (6-3) and surrender more than 30 points per game. Even with Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams returning at quarterback, I think Utah, Washington, and Oregon will be too much on offense for the Trojan defense to handle. Lincoln Riley and USC will still have one of the nation's better offenses, but their defensive strategy is doomed to fall apart (yes, even with blue-chip players) against offenses that combine physicality with either great game plans or fast athletes. As USC Football prepares to jump into the Big Ten, they will need a superior defense and possibly even an adapted offense if they want to win the conference. I think Jim Leonhard would be a fantastic candidate, and there are other men such as Pete Golding who would be an upgrade over Grinch as well. My second bold prediction (eight overall) is that the Michigan State Spartans will hit the over on their preseason win total, going 6-6 (4-5) in the regular season and playing competitively in Big Ten play. The Spartans are deep in the trenches for the first time in the Mel Tucker era, and they also have playmakers at quarterback, running back, and tight end on offense. Defensively, Tucker hired former Bills safeties coach Jim Salgado to coach the cornerbacks. The defense also returns defensive tackle Simeon Barrow Jr and linebacker Jacoby Windmon, who will anchor a Top 20 front even in the nation. This team is under the radar this year, as opposed to overexposed like last year. Finally, my third bold prediction (ninth overall) is that both Kansas and Kansas State will win 10 games for the first time since 1995. Both teams return 50% or more of their offensive line production, with the Wildcats returning all 5 starters, and both return their starting quarterback and starting tight end. Defensively, these teams will likely struggle, but both have potential Heisman winners at quarterback with Will Howard for Kansas State and Jalon Daniels for Kansas.
