My Bride Has the Damn COVID for the First Time

S2E28: The Renegade Writer’s Mouthy MusingsHey, Everyone.Damn, it’s been a Saturday here at home. After still feeling pretty sick for the 4th day in a row, Mai decided to get checked out at the doctor. And damn it, it was more than a cold or flu.She has COVID. Her first time. And she’s autoimmune compromised.COVID is no joke, especially when you tend to have health issues. Though Mai is a pretty healthy lady, she still is susceptible to colds more than the average person. I’m hoping she doesn’t have nearly as bad of a go as I did with it.That was the sickest I’d been in my adult life. And I rarely get colds. Maybe one every couple of years. But COVID hit hard. I was fortunate to not have any lasting effects once it was over with. I hope the same for my Bride.Here’s what today looked like, finding out that she had COVID and the things I had to run out to do to deal with it.
