My Christina Rose (pt II)
from Poetry by Tim Windisch · host Tim Windisch
My Christina Rose (Pt II) Holding hands, holding hope out for our tomorrow Molding plans, repay lost days that we had to borrow Build those dreams, live that once only imagined life Willed it seems, devoted man wants you for his wife And these were only things we thought, yet prayed for every night The happy memories we both sought, happening now only seems right My Christina Rose, her pretty nose, feet to match with pretty little toes She shows and goes and boy she knows, how to make me smile, love flows My Christina Rose, smile and strike a pose, make me dream about you in those wedding clothes He stows, he shows, puts a gold ring where it goes, tells the world at the top of his lungs he crows About my Christina Rose The only flower in my bed, smell the petals in my head Ever seen a rose so red? A million dollars I’d take her instead Oh! My Christina Rose! Tim Windisch 06 26 2024
