My Dead Father Left Me One Rule. I Wished I Listened | Human Narrator

from DarkHorrorNarrations · host DarkHorrorNarrations

A broke, grieving man takes over his dead father's gold claim deep in the North Cascades, chasing one good season on a creek his family worked for fifty years. His father left him one rule. Don't work the water after dark, and never answer anything that calls to you from across it, no matter whose voice it wears. One exhausted night, half asleep, he answers. What comes down the creek after that learns his father's voice, then his own, and the only man who understands what he's done is an old prospector two miles downstream who's kept the same rule his whole life.
