My Detox Supplements: Minerals 2 ways

from Today’s Gut Health Tip · host Melissa Hall Klepacki, M.Ac.

Minerals are almost more important to supplement than vitamins.  Our soils are so depleted that are getting inadequate levels of minerals in our daily diet. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/soil-depletion-aND-NUTRITION-LOSS/ I have a few forms of minerals I take. First, is a liquid multi mineral that I put into my water bottle on a daily basis.  Especially important if you filter your water which can also remove the good minerals.  1-2 teaspoons a day will do it. When I travel and can’t take a liquid supplement with me I like Vital Nutrients Multi-Minerals.  This doesn’t have copper or iron so it is safe for men and women.  I like that it is a capsule and not a hard pill.  It’s more complete than the liquid and if I am not taking too many supplements I add this in for good measure. Magnesium is a mineral that can be absorbed through the skin and I love an Epsom salt bath on days when I feel wired or sore from a work out.  So that’s another easy way to get some more minerals into your system.
