Between daily responsibilities, sudden disruptions, and the noise of a fast-paced world, it is remarkably easy to fixate on the waves rather than theanchor. David wrote Psalm 16 not from a place of zero trouble, but from a deliberate choice of focus. He didn't say the storm vanished; he said he chose to keep his eyes on the Lord. ​The second half of the verse reveals the result of that choice: stability. In ancient culture, the person standing at your "right hand" was your defender and protector in battle.
