My Geek Confessions #190 – 05/20/2016

from My Geek Confessions · host Zach Jenkins

Welcome to our episode for May 20, 2016! We’ve back from our vacation with plenty of news! There’s lot of trailers to catch up on, cancellations of some of our favorite TV shows, Supergirl moves to the CW, Disney Infinity is canceled, Buckaroo Bonzai may come to TV, and Gundam returns to Toonami. Be sure to subscribe to us in iTunes, and give us a review. Comment here to show us you care! And by all means, feel free to donate to us! “My Geek Confessions – Watching Bad Movies, So You Don’t Have To!” There were plenty of big trailers that came out while we were gone, some better than others. First is the “final” Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and our first look at Krang. Then there’s finally a trailer for the Assassin’s Creed movie starting Michael Fassbender. It does have elements of the game which looks good but some parts of the trailer give me pause. Last are two new trailers for Ghostbusters and Star Trek Beyond and both make the movies look a little better. Phil Lord and Chris Miller have two new series coming to FOX with Making History and Son of Zorn. Both definitely look very outside the norm but potentially fun. So far my favorite from the trailer is Making History but let us know what you think is better in the comments. The new Voltron doesn’t premiere until June 10th, but we finally have an official trailer and it definitely looks like it’s related to Avatar: The Last Airbender in style and humor which I think is definitely a good thing.
