Welcome to BBM Global Network and Tune in Radio, your channel for fascinating and interesting shows for the past 25 years. And here's another one from the Health and Wellness section, My House My Foundation. And I'm your very passionate host, Dr. Meriam Yurad.
And my purpose for this show is to look into the lives of everyday Americans. Why is America such a health-conscious nation everywhere we turn, you see fitness? But why is the average American out of shape? And why is daily exercise not a part of our lives?
So today we will look into the life of one girl, an active young girl. So this is a case study out of an interview which I did with her. I worked with her. Her name is Lily.
And she's beautiful. She's only 21 years of age and you know what? She has a six-year-old and she dropped out of high school to take care of her son. So Lily, she looks pretty because you know what profession she has chosen?
She has decided to raise her son and give him the good life and she has decided to sell makeup. Yes, that's the work, that's the job, that's the passion and that's the money, financial stability for so many women, they sell makeup. You see them at every party, you see them at every ladies event, they're passing out their flyers, they're knocking on door to door. So she is selling makeup door to door and you'll find her as she's a pleasant personality.
Wherever you go, she will ask you, greet you, talk to you and introduce you to some of the makeup. And when I had the, you know, I sat down with her and I asked her, you look pretty in the makeup, but you kind of look tired. And so we had a very candid conversation and you know, we met for a couple of times and I sort of guided her, I coached her and she asked her, do you exercise? She looks very pretty with all the makeup on, but I mean, she had everything in her kit that she was selling.
She was everything on. And you know what, she was very stressed out because the finances depended on her sale and you know, she gets the commission and her son was with her, so he's not six-year-old. And believe me, that boy was like a prince, he had everything. He looked chubby, he looked cute, he had name brand T-shirt, short shoes, everything.
And he was eating a very nice healthy meal in a nice fancy restaurant. So Ma was giving him everything and she was working really, really hard. And she told me that, you know, I have to work really hard and it's not easy doing this job. And she had these very high heels on because you know, the makeup goes with the high heels and she close.
So she says, you know, I have to spend a lot just to, just to be able to sell. And so this is the choice of lots and lots of women, they decide to sell makeup. So I told her that, you know, I'm on a mission. I have a passion.
I want you, no matter what profession you choose, I want you to be healthy. I want you to empower yourself with the basic knowledge of basic science. And I tell you, everybody gets the diet and exercise and lots of food and supplements around. But we somehow don't make it to the gym because eating is a requirement.
We can't live with that food, but somehow we decide to live without daily exercise. And we don't think that fitness or moving around is necessary. So I sort of sit down and teach people that exercise is what connects all your organs together. It's what enables you to wear those high heels.
It's what enables you to actually look good from the inside. So you put that makeup on your skin, you have the internal glow. And so our graduate over here, she's a strong woman. She's determined and she's making money now.
So she's saving up, you know, and she told me that one day I will go back and I will finish my high school and then I will proceed on to college. And I believe to her, she had a very strong inspiration and the positive note in her voice was very strong. And I said, more power to you and congratulations. Some stay with your plan and she's going to put her son through school.
And she's aiming for private schools. So she's working doubly hard. And you know, when it comes to makeup, I tell you, that's a woman's soul is makeup. And how many people are selling makeup and huge quantities and lots of women, especially young girls, you know?
So these are young girls that haven't even completed their high school, but they look good, you know? And so she said that I've got a lot of friends just like me that didn't do high school, but they're selling makeup. So there's a lot of competition and I have to edge them out to get all the sales on. But I said, don't you worry, you take one day at a time and in the day, you know, you got to have three meals.
You got to do some exercise. You got to sleep, you got to rest, you got to spend some quality time with your son. You put every aspect of the day together to have a good, natural, healthy life. You can't be selling makeup 24-7 and aim to make a million overnight.
And after I talked to her for a few days and you know, we worked together and she was, yes, you know, you're right, I have to strike a balance. I said, you're young, you have lots of dreams and ambitions, but you got to put them in perspective. You want to give your son a life, but you also need to be healthy yourself. So, you know, we're talking about Lily.
She's 21 years of age. She had her first child when she was 15, just out of high school. Actually, she was in high school and to take care of him, she dropped out. So now she has decided to work and she's working, giving her child a living.
And she's also saving up for her future education. And this woman is a very strong woman. She has a very bold voice and she's strong. You know, right now she's young.
So she's got youth on her side, but a lot of stress. She says, you know, we talked and she was like, oh, gosh, you can't imagine a stressful. This job is people think that I smile and I look good. I got all this makeup on and I got these five-inch heels.
And it's really hard to walk in them. And so I was telling her how to do the minimum possible wellness is from the foot. That's my aim. That's the name of my show, My House, My Foundation.
So you don't have much time. The minimum you want to do is to take care of your feet because that's what's going to support you and make you ambulatory. And in her case, she's wearing high heels. So there's more need to take care of the feet because she's dashing.
I mean, the minute she sees a customer, you know, she doesn't walk, she like flies. You know, she's all of a sudden there. And I tell you, you can hurt your foot this way because your heels are so high and you can trip on them. And she says, you know, I've already tripped on them a couple of times.
And I was like, you need to then cut down on the height of your heels or you need to do my exercises, you know, stabilize yourself. And when you sit, don't turn your foot right and left. And talk, think about the structure of a house. That foundation does not tilt or warp.
Otherwise, the walls won't stand. So the minute I told her that she was like, yes, that makes a lot of sense. And I said, you know what, you're a mother. So you're a young mom and you have a child and the child depends on you.
So you take care of yourself and the minimum is your feet. You want to have strong feet. So you're able to get up and go to what you want yourself and you're young. You have all your life in front of you.
So you take care of your foot. So you can be independent and mobile at older age and people don't realize, you know, just the foot is so, so essential. And all right. So you're listening to my house, my foundation on the BBM Global Network and tuning radio.
And I'm your host, Dr. Mary Marad. And we'll be right back after the short break. So stay tuned.

Maryam Marad on a purpose to teach everybody how to improve their daily life doing daily exercise into their life. All you got to do is you got to do some form of exercise. And if you don't do anything, think about My House and My Foundation. Your foundation needs to be strong.
So right now we're looking into the life of Lily. She's a 21-year-old girl that sells makeup and she has absolutely no time for the gym. But she wants to be healthy. And after I told her, you have your entire life in front of you.
You got to focus on your health. You got to add in some daily wellness. You got to add in all this nutrition. You got to add in the rest time, sleep time.
And she says, well, OK, I nap here and there. When my son, I sort of take a break with him. And so I get the nap in and we eat meals together and exercise. Well, you know, he sort of exercises.
She'll be OK. Don't really do much exercise. So he's just with the mom wherever mom goes. The cute kid also is with mom.
And so I was telling her a little basics there of exercise. You know, exercise is what clean you on the inside. Make up is what you apply on the outside. And you know, makeup people think is very old and new.
But actually the word makeup is relatively new, which I was surprised to learn that the word makeup only came in the early 1800s, 1805, is when the term makeup was used in, I was like, really? Because women have been using makeup for the longest time. You know, you look into these ancient cultures and they're using makeup. You look into India.
Their makeup is they use the eyeliner. You know, they use the cadua pencil is what they used. And that is basically it what they use. The Indian woman, they focus most on the eyes.
And then the married woman are the one that where that red paint in their hair on their center line just above the middle of the forehead. And that depicts married women. So makeup is sort of a requirement in the ancient Indian culture in India, you know, to use makeup. So whenever you see a woman that has that red mark on the center of her forehead, where she parts her hair, that means that she's married.
And then she obviously has to put something around her eyes. And that's the eyeliner. And you know, the lipstick is there. And what they say about lipstick is, I never estimate the power of red lipstick.
Yeah, that's true. So they like the red color. They wear a lot of floral clothes. So the red goes with the red color of their clothes.
And the red is flowers are popular. And so red color is popular amongst the Indians. So they use a lot of red. And if you look at the ancient older generations of the Egyptians, Queen Nefertiti, she was very famous for her makeup.
You know, she also had a very strong eyeliner. The Egyptians, all the pictures, they had a very strong black line going around the eye and sort of extended sideways to the temple there. And that's not only for a very strong, for that depicted aristocratic woman. So all the queens had it.
And that sort of symbolics. So they didn't really use much color. It was that heavy black line, that black liner around the eyes. And all of Egyptian queens, you know, they looked good.
So yeah, they're looking good. And a lot of names and a lot of products are using the products that they use, like honey milk. You know, so they used the original food substances in Queen Nefertiti's famous to have bay, then milk and honey. And her she had flawless skin.
And you know, they spent endless time doing these milk baths. So modern women, we really don't have that much time. So now we're down to our makeup, which comes in small packs. So we can easily use it.
And the number of people that use makeup is quite staggering. The amount of women that use makeup, they, I mean, this is an average woman. No wonder Lily took makeup. She says people spent so much money on makeup.
You know, you would never believe that. And I said, yes, I know I've traveled the world. And believe me, makeup is an essential item. And so I was explaining to her the differences in cultures that may be there.
But makeup, every woman all around the world she has to have makeup on. And that's sort of what we look at. We don't really look into the health of a woman. We don't really look into the fitness.
We don't look whether she's happy or how she feels or if she can, you know, we can improve on her psyche, talk to where we sort of make a judgment on a woman based on her makeup, which is really, really hard. And so this is what Lily was telling me that she feels the pressure of selling makeup. And just because she's selling makeup, she always has to be wearing tons of makeup. And believe me, she had layers and layers of makeup on.
And you know, they look good on her. She's young. So she has already has flawless skin and big eyes. She's got those false eyelashes with mascara on them.
So she looks good, but she says that she has to always be wearing that makeup. And you know what she told me that she wears the makeup 24-7. She even sleeps in the makeup just in case somebody asks her and she doesn't have her makeup on. And I was like, well, that may be a good thought.
You know, you might be ready for the moment, but in the long run, constantly wearing makeup while you sleep is not a good idea. And she says, well, you know, I have to dash, you know, I have to run. I don't have time to myself. I really, all my time I get, I spend on my son, all the money I spend on my son.
So I was really telling her that, you know, first thing you do is you sit down, you relax. You're so uptight because she's forced to make a sale. You know, she had a baby when she was 15. So she says for the past six years, I'll be like forced to work.
And I'm the one who's paying the bills and taking care and I live on my own. And I have absolutely no time for myself. And I said, you know, the first thing you do is you need to sit down and take a breather. When life gets too fast, you know, sit down.
And when you sit down, what do we do? We start twisting our feet, right and left. And that's what she was doing. And she took off her high heels and boy, her foot aches so bad.
And I said, think about your house's foundation. Do you ever twist the foundation around? Just because it's raining or, you know, there's a leak in the roof. And she says, no.
And I said, well, think about your body as a house because we live in our inner house and our soul lives in our body. So the body also has a foundation. You got to take care of your foundation. And when you sit down, you spend five minutes to relax.
Think of your foundation. So we're talking about my house, my foundation on the BBM Global Network and Tune in Radio. And I'm your host, Dr. Maryam Miranda.
And we'll continue our discussion right after this break. So stay tuned. Hello, I'm Steve Fagan. And I'm president and CEO of Fagan Associates.

We can do it together. Welcome friends. Welcome back to my house, my foundation on the BBM Global Network and Tune in Radio. And I'm your host, Dr.
Maryam Miranda. And today, we're looking into the life of Lily. We're looking into the life of a lady who sells makeup. And we're trying to introduce some health and wellness into her daily life because she's always on the go 24-7 she's selling makeup.
I'm trying to tell her how to introduce some daily exercise into her life. And the thing was she told me that it was a complete surprise to her that you can actually take makeup on and there is life there because women feel that as soon as the makeup is off, we don't feel beautiful anymore. We're not pretty anymore. That's absolutely not true.
But that's a matter of my opinion. I look into the soul of everybody. I feel everybody's precious. And we all need a chance to improve our life.
And the basic is one little exercise. The foot you got to take care of your feet. And you know what? I was looking into, I was talking to Lily and I was telling her that a lot of women, they actually wear makeup to the gym.
And because of their desire to always look pretty and always be makeup, even when they're at the gym, I mean, you're in your fitness clothes, you got your sweating and you could be on those exercise machines. You could be in one of those exercise classes. Those exercise classes were on the bike or the fitness or doing Zumba or anything in the gym. And I sometimes wonder why.
But now because of the woman's desire to wear makeup in the gym, cosmetic companies have come up with a new type of makeup. And I was telling her, well, you know, if you want to really improve your sales and try to get this waterproof makeup, smudge proof makeup that they make, especially for women at the gym, because according to statistics, two out of five women must apply something before going to the gym. You know, they just don't show up at the gym without if nothing else, the mascara. I mean, can you imagine a woman, even being a woman, and when I look at other women, I'm sometimes surprised that I like to like to say positive words and I like to encourage people and tell them in a positive manner that your outside beauty is because of your inside beauty.
You know, you see the outside, but there's inside the clothes through you. So even if you smile, the smile is your best makeup. You just smile and you can see your heart and this warm welcome coming through the eyes. So it's not really essential to have loads of makeup, you know, layers of makeup, everything on.
But you know what they say about women? If you're sad, just put more lipstick and if you really even sadder, you add more lipstick and the brighter the red, the faster the depression and faster those sad thoughts go away. So red lipstick works for women. And I tell you, when housewives leave the house, they may have nothing gone, but they definitely put the red lipstick.
You know, there's no other makeup on their face, but this is bright red lipstick, which they have. And these sales girls, they definitely do a really, really good job at it. So you know, coming back to the gym over here, we now have this special makeup that you can actually wear to the gym. So the makeup that you wear at the party or that you wear it in your daily life is completely different from the one you wear at the gym.
The makeup at the gym has a different tone to it because you sweat. So you want to have a little bronzer effect and giving it a tanning look and it shouldn't run that much. It shouldn't smudge that much. So this makeup actually costs more than the average makeup and women are spending more on this special makeup for the gym so they can get out there and exercise.
So gosh, that says a lot about makeup there. Whatever women do, they always need to be looking good and they need to be inside their makeup because women sort of have this idea that once they put their makeup on, their smile comes on the face, they say hi to you and a woman is not wearing a makeup, you know, some women unless they have their makeup on, they just don't feel like they're beautiful or they look pretty enough. So that's the difference of opinion. I value everybody.
But women must have their makeup on and we're talking about Lilly and she says, believe me, they make up by the gallons and they definitely put it on. So I was telling her how to apply light makeup. You don't really have to clog all your pores that be. They got to let the skin breathe.
So a waterproof makeup is good and you shouldn't apply layers and layers. You don't have to mention and you need to take it off. So I was telling her about basic cleanliness. The skin has to breathe.
You got to do exercise. You got to sweat. You got to remove the makeup and you don't keep applying makeup or makeup. You got to clean the face.
And basic things like this, I reach out to whoever I'm talking to and whatever they need. I sort of incorporate it into how to improve their wellness and improve their lifestyle. So with Lilly, her aim is to get more money. She needs more money.
She's saving up her education. She wants to go back to high school, finish her high school and then go on into college. And she wants to have a life in fashion. Fashion.
So she's planning on a short two year fashion college that will get her probably open her own makeup salon. And so she's a bright intelligent girl and she's taking care of her son at the same time and the baby is absolutely adorable. He looks so chubby, so cute. And he's perfectly pampered and mom buys him everything.
He's wearing name brand t-shirts every time I see him. He's got good shoes on and he's eating the heat well and he has everything. He's got all the electronics that a little boy has, all the good toys. And mom really pampers him above her.
So I was telling her that you get to the gym. So even though you're selling makeup, but you will still get to the gym and try using the gym makeup, the special makeup that they have for people at the gym. So you get to the gym and you will get some exercise. You need to be around exercise because she's a young woman and young people, they prefer the gym.
They like the more vigorous exercise. And you know what? Lilly has never been to the gym before and I said, you've never been to the gym. That's an experience that you must have.
So since you sell makeup, you get the makeup that the ladies will buy that go to the gym. So you get that special makeup made specially for women that exercise. So it's sweat proof. You know, the mascara is going to drip.
Nothing is going to drip off. It doesn't spread or smudge. It stays in place and it gives them a good look. You know, they look good that they've got their makeup on and it gives them the confidence to exercise.
So she's listening to my advice and she says, okay, now I will add in this exercise makeup on, this non smudge, non-proof everything. And I will actually go to the gym and her client tells she's aiming for active women that get to the gym. And so we're working on it. She will now try to buy some more makeup that is gym makeup and gym makeup is a new line of makeup because now women, they need to look good.
You know, they're at par with men and when you get to the gym, both men and women are there. So women definitely have to look good. And so you're listening to my house, my foundation on the BBM Global Network and tuning radio and I'm your host, Dr. Mary Moran.
And we'll be right back after the short break. So stay tuned. Abuse happens every moment of every day. According to national statistics in the United States, every two minutes someone is sexually assaulted and every 10 minutes a report of child abuse is made.

You're in for the ride of your life. Welcome friends. Welcome to My House, My Foundation on the BBM Global Network and Tune in Radio. And I'm your host, Dr.
Maryam Aran. And today we're looking into the very serious topic of young women, young people that do not get to the gym and they prefer their profession, their daily life takes over. So today we're talking to Lily. She's a 21-year-old young mom.
She dropped out of high school when she had her child at 15. And the boy, she is spending all of her life taking care of him. And you know what she does? She sells makeup, yes.
And she's making very good money at selling makeup. And she definitely wears a lot of makeup herself. She looks good. But she says she's so tired.
And I was telling her, you need to incorporate one exercise. You need to get exercise in your life because exercise, what it does is you sell your makeup, you talk to people, you're very high energy, you're energetic, you're talking, you're involved and it takes a lot of energy. And she says definitely does. And she pulls along these heavy bags and boxes of all these makeup samples and energy has to carry them in her car and then she's got her baby, a six-year-old which holding his stuff, his bags.
She's pulling a lot of bags with her in high heels. So I was explaining to her the need for exercise. What exercise does is it cleans you on the inside. It gets your blood flow going.
It removes all the germs, the toxins, whatever the body doesn't need. So you have to have some form of exercise in order to clean the inside. I was explaining to her, you clean the outside, but how do you clean the inside? You got to get the blood flow.
You can't reach in and scrub and brush it. So you got to have daily exercise. And she says that she doesn't think exercise is essential for her, but for her son, she's definitely going to get him into swimming class for the summer. And the little kid has definitely has some exercise up coming in.
When you put him into swimming class, why don't you join in? So you both can have a mom and son and they have these family classes or go play pool and play games with the children and spend some time with him. It doesn't really have to be always in a regimented exercise class. So he can play any pool games with you.
You can throw ball, you can swim laps, you can chase one another. As long as you're in the pool, you don't hurt yourself. Water supports you. And she likes that idea.
And now even dermatologists are saying that a lot of people, they damage their skin because of the type of makeup they wear, especially when they're at the gym, because they put layers and layers, they pat it on because you got to hide those blemishes, you got to look good. And they're looking into this. So this is a very serious topic. You might not think so.
Women and look good and exercise. There's a combination there. Why women do not go to the gym? Because they do not feel comfortable.
And so there's a whole new research going on into how to get women to exercise, how to empower them to improve their health and wellness without forcing them to get to the gym. Because unless these women, they wear makeup, they look good. They are not going to go to the gym because they feel that they are being judged. People are looking at them.
So they're focused when they get to the gym. It's not on the exercise they're doing. It's not on the workout. It's not on the machine that they're exercising with or the exercise class that they're doing.
It's not, they're looking around. So are somebody watching me? Yeah, I mean, when you have the gym, you need to focus on your workout. You need to focus on the exercise that you're doing.
And for one, focus on yourself. So, this is a lot of upcoming research is going on about women, how to get their wellness, because women's health has sort of dropped a few notches. Women's health disease is now number one. Men and women are now at par number one.
And for a long time, men were number one. And women were, there was a gap, you know. So heart disease was a man's disease. But ever since women has stepped out into the workforce, you know, we're spending more hours.
There's more stress on us. We not only have to work, but we have to take care of the children. And then we have to look good. So there's either you put your clothes and makeup, you go shopping for new clothes and your makeup, you put them on, or you get to the gym.
And men just don't wear that much makeup. So they have the time to get to the gym, take a shower and just put some shorts and t-shirts on just casual, whereas the women, they have to dress in cheek clothes, even the casual is chic. So I was explaining to Lily that you have to incorporate daily exercise. You know, exercise is what cleans you.
It connects all your organs together. You have all these organs and each one functions. And every day you got to clean, it's like your house. You take your trash out, you have a trash can in every room.
And when you throw the trash, you put it inside the basket, the waste paper basket, and you clean it like three times a week. The trash door comes around and everybody cleans all those baskets, puts everything into one of these black trash bags and put it outside on the curb so the trash can pick it up. I was explaining to her, you know, the body has a system just like this. We also have pipes inside.
We need to clean. So our pipes, they flow fluid inside and that's how we clean. And exercise gets this internal circulation moving. So you know, this is sort of like new news to her, but she's into exercising and hopefully she's looking at the gym for her son and she's going to enroll him and she likes the idea of spending time with him.
You know, she's a mother, she's devoted. So she wants her son to be healthy. So even now she's putting her son before herself. She says that I will get him to exercise class.
I said, yeah, sure. You put him in and then you also follow after his exercise class. He's in the pool, you know, you jump in and play some games with him, throw the ball or swim around laps or you know, just play in the pool and you can't hurt yourself because you're inside the pool and this is the way you'll make friends because you're always selling your makeup. You need to, you need to have a balance in life.
You know, there's a time for rest. There's a time for work. There's a time for eating. You got to balance life.
So you have a healthy lifestyle. And I told her that you can actually save up on your makeup if you just apply a little bit less of it because you got layers and layers of makeup on the face. And today we're looking into the life of a lady that sells makeup on my house, my foundation, on the BBM Global Network and tuning radio. And I'm your host, Dr.
Mary Miret. We'll be right back after the short break. So stay tuned. Learn the My Short Sale Guru way. Welcome friends. Welcome back to BBM Global Network and Tuning Radio to My House My Foundation. I'm your host Dr.
Maryam Marand. Today we're talking about how we can incorporate exercise, physical fitness into the life of one young girl, 21 years of age. She's a single mom and she sells makeup. Her passion and her full-time job is selling makeup.
She has a passion for it. She looks good. She's got the energy. She's got the high heels.
She's got the chic smart clothes. She's got the smile. She's got the words. She's got all those sales pitches.
I was telling her that you need to slow down. You're so stressed and I'm a doctor so I can see through your makeup. You look tired and she says he has time very tired. I start out and this is summer so my son's out from school.
I take him with me. That's even more tired because I have to take him and then he's asking for questions. He wants me to go there with him and then I have to balance his schedule with my schedule. I was like you should put him into summer school if you can afford it because she's making good money.
She's a very good salesman. Lily here, she's perfect salesman and she sells to all ethnicities. We're down here in Texas and everybody. Texas is like a multicultural state and everybody's here and all of them use makeup.
I tell you, the Hispanic women are the ones that are set to wear the most makeup of all is by Hispanic women. I said, okay, well, the Asians don't fall far behind, nor do the African Americans or the Caucasians and we all sort of like to wear makeup and the surprising thing is that the young people wear makeup and the older women also, there's no less makeup than the older women because they sort of feel that age is catching up on them. They need to wear makeup to keep them looking youthful so the older generation has another line of makeup but makeup sells so well that the women, they would rather wear makeup than go to the gym and exercise. I was telling Lily, look at every movie star.
Look at your idols. Look at everybody that you love in Hollywood. Everybody does what? Guess what?
They all exercise. When you see them on the red carpet, it's not all hair and makeup. It's exercise. Why they have that flawless skin?
Because they have that good circulation coming from the inside out. Their blood is flowing. You do exercise, blood flows. It cleans you on the inside.
So your inside is clean. It's like your house is vacuum day so it's clean. So your house is clean. Your body is clean.
Your exercise. You physically fit. I was joking with her. I said if you want to put the two together, what you do is you vacuum your house and then you'll have to exercise yourself and you'll clean your house also.
Look at these movie stars. Everyone of them, they have a personal trainer because the truth being which lady likes to exercise. I was telling Lily, get one of your favorite movie stars or whoever you follow. Whoever your idol is.
Whoever you like. Whoever's makeup you like. Whoever clothes you like. Because she had a long list of favorites over here.
I said just follow one or get more than one because they all seem to have a similar exercise routine. You got to exercise upper body, lower body abs. Glutes everything. They sort of break it down now.
I said, if you like to exercise separately, you can. If you like one of these total body exercises that these exercises, they work the entire body. You can do that. Then you got these yoga and Pilate video tapes.
Maybe you're in the pool joining your son's swimming class after he has. She's going to put him in summer school, swimming classes and after class finishes. She's also going to have some family time, so pool time with him. I said, that's your time with him.
When you do your exercise routine, whichever exercise video you choose, have your son join in and he can also do these different exercises. She was like, which one should I take? I told you, while you're young, you try all of them. You try and you see which exercise you like.
Either you can get those video tapes or you can go to the gym and enroll in the different classes. You got so many different exercise classes. Try them out and see which one you like. Because you know what?
She has never been to the gym and she works all the time. Her lifestyle is very stressful, even though she looks very pretty. She's young. She smiles and she has a beautiful smile, big eyes all lined with all the makeup, the mascara, the eyes shadow, everything positive.
She looks very pretty but so stressed out. I was telling her that you need to incorporate exercise because look at these stars in Hollywood. They have a very stressful schedule but they allow their body to exercise. They allow their body to have food.
You got to eat at the proper time. Good nutrition, sleep. There's a combination of exercise, sleep, good nutrition. It shows.
Our house is our foundation. If nothing else, you look at your foundation and I teach how to access total body from the feet. People are surprised at how does the foot help the face? How does the foot help me?
How does it help my makeup? I tell them the basic size. When blood flows, you do your foot exercises. Blood flows like a merry-go-round.
Once you start going, the whole circle starts to move. You get blood flow through the entire body. From the toes, it goes all the way up to the legs, the body, the arm, the head. Then it comes all the way back down.
It goes into complete circle and it cleans your entire body. It not only cleans your skin. This is the best pedicure, the best manicure. It gets blood flow to the nail bed.
You have stronger nails, more beautiful nails. I was telling her, Lilly, you're very smart. I wish you all the best. You save up your body.
When you do your exercise, you don't have to apply all this makeup on because you already will have a healthy glow from the inside out. That's why people that look good, they just look good and you think that they have makeup on. No, it's a natural glow. It's a natural glow.
The bodies are clean. They're hygiene. They're nourished. They're perfect.
Picture perfect on the inside. Makeup only focuses on the outside and exercise focuses on the inside. You have that healthy combination of both. Even the exercise makes you sweat on the outside, but it's very, very good for you.
It opens all your skin pores. It gets rid of all the junk and detox and germs and toxins. Whatever goes into our body that your body doesn't need. Sweat is the way that the body releases.
It washes out those toxins. If you have a good sweat, don't worry about it. It's good for you. Just remember to drink some water before your exercise and if you don't drink it afterwards.
You're listening to My House, My Foundation on the BBM Global Network and Tune in Radio. I'm your host, Dr. Mary Miread. We'll be right back after the short break, so stay tuned.
America is out of control. Today's capitalism and the approach to money is in fact the symptom of a more widespread pattern of excessive behavior. In his book, The Culture of Excess, How America Lost to Self-Control and Why We Need to Redefine Success, Clinical Psychologist Dr. Jay Slosar, portrays an America where excess fuels the drive to succeed.
Dr. Slosar examines the cultural factors that lead to excess ranging from obesity to fraud to pervasive budget deficits. His book examines the powerful economic and social factors and their impact on our psychological well-being. Dr.
Slosar explores the psychological impact of increasing narcissism, perfectionism, self-destruction and our identity confusion. He offers recommendations for helping generation me, become generation we. Those who resist Slosar's message will want to avoid his discussion of regulation and his recent message that at this point, democracy must be more important than today's capitalism. Welcome friends, welcome to BPM Global Network and Intuitive Radio and you're listening to My House, My Foundation and I'm your host Dr. Mary Marad and I have a mission. I'm here on a purpose. My aim is to improve the wellness of each person individually.
I may not be able to change the world but I can definitely change the world for one person. This is the aim of my show to bring each person here, one individual and reach through them, improve their life through daily wellness. My aim is to add one exercise, daily wellness and that's the aim of my show here, My House, My Foundation. People don't look at their bodies so I started to stop talking to you about it because the foot is definitely very insignificant and no one really cares much about their feet but as soon as you talk about the house's foundation and the walls of the roof stand and the foundation and what about your foundation?
Boy, they quickly understand the importance of their foundation but the foot is not important but their foundation is. So all right, you take care of your foundation and think about the house. So you don't look at your body, you look at the house and the way the house is foundation is that's your foundation. So the minimum you need to do is your foundation will work out.
Take care of your feet because everybody here wants to age. We want to live past 100 years. Well, if you live to be 100, you definitely want to be walking and you don't want to be in a wheelchair, you want to be driving. A lot of people are driving at 100, they're walking, they're running marathons but you have to take care of your feet.
That's the secret. Foot care at ITC, the minimum wellness here. So today I'm helping out Lily. She is 21 years of age and she sells makeup and she has no time to get to the gym and she has absolutely no time for herself.
Her main focus is to constantly be selling makeup at all hours of the day. You can find her at breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch, the supper tea, any type of name it. She's their selling makeup and you know what she wears makeup every hour of day. She even sleeps through her makeup and I pointed out to her that right now, your skin can take it but your skin has pores.
It breathes through those pores and you can't completely have them clogged 24 hours. So once you start exercising, your body will start cleaning itself and you will feel more energy and you won't feel the need for such heavy layers of makeup and you will use less makeup, you will save money and then you'll be able to clean your skin on a regular basis also. And she understands that and she has a young son. So I've introduced her to a swimming class which she has enrolled in now and so he will be having swimming classes this summer and after the class is over, you know, it's in the community pool.
So she can also go in for a swim and I've encouraged her to buy a bathing suit and get out of those high heels and jump into the pool, have some fun. She's a young girl. So physical fitness is very, very essential and I hope everybody that is listening to my show over here because a lot of women, a lot of women, they sell makeup and when you put your makeup on, you can't sweat, you know, you got to be in good condition, you have your nails done, you got your hair done, you got your makeup on and the gym is definitely not the picture in your mind. So my aim is to teach you one daily wellness, minimum exercise for women, the foot wellness is very, very good.
