My Journey From Traditional Classroom Teacher to Successful Microschool Builder

from All Things Are Possible Teacher Podcast · host Desirée McGee-Greene

I want to give a huge thank you to all of the amazing educators who joined me the last 2 days for a free virtual meetup. It was so fun to hear all about your big dreams and to answer your questions as you begin to embark on this new journey of starting your own microschool or homeschooling business. One of the educators on the call, Danielle, wants to start a microschool for special needs children with a focus on autism.  Another educator, Cassandra, wants to coach students in math and coach parents in teaching their own children at home. She even sees herself starting a microschool in the future. I also met a wonderful educator named Lauri on the call last night. She is launching a microschool this Fall and has already hired teachers with 5 students who want to join her program.  My heart is so full and bursting with excitement because this microschool movement is booming, my friend! It's time for you to join an amazing community of educators who's taking the education world by storm. They are stepping out of the traditional classroom and doing school THEIR way.  But you might be thinking, I'm just a classroom teacher. Can I really build my own school? I'm here to tell you… YES you can! Because if I can do it, so can you. I'm so excited to share my story with me and my journey of how I went from traditional classroom teacher to successful microschool builder. Are you ready, let's get started!
