My journey, my true story... a chat with Fatima Aliyu

This March episode is dedicated to all the women who have sailed through life in rocking boats, yet made it safely to harbor. The unsung heroines whose stories are yet to be told. The episode focuses on the strengths and motivation of our guest. We discovered what keeps her going, what strategy works for her. Fatima is a single mother with 4 beautiful kids. Life indeed has been unfair to her, yet she has weatherd the storms of life so beautifully and it is evident in the strides that she continues to achieve. Fatima is a cobbler, a food vendor and an all-round entrepreneur. During our interview, Fatima mentioned that through all her challenges, she focuses on her 4 kids. They are her motivation. With a broken marriage with no child support, and demolition of her mobile work space, she kept her focus and continues engaging in all legal endeavours to survive. All kids are in school. Fatima added that her believe in God also kept her going. Fatima is a source of motivation for all other women all over the world. Happy International Women's month.
