This Japanese folktale tells of Fujiwara Hidesato, a brave warrior who confronts a giant dragon blocking a bridge, only to learn it is the Dragon King. The King asks Hidesato to defeat a monstrous centipede that is plaguing his underwater kingdom. Hidesato agrees and, after his first two arrows fail, cleverly uses his last arrow coated with saliva to kill the giant creature.
