My Mental Health and Social Battery are Worn Down

Man, Y’all. I’m dragging ass today. But for a good reason.We’re in the middle of a weekend wedding and family reunion. Things have been busy since Thursday. For some of us more than others. With family in town from Seattle, Texas, and North Carolina, a lot could have gone wrong.You know what I’m talking about. Not all families get along.But I’m happy to report that most were on their best behavior. And the small things that happened weren’t enough to stop the rest of us from having a great time. Though my social battery is low, and my physical and mental health aren’t quite where I prefer them to be, I realize that I am stronger than I think at times.I can power through these rare times when so many family members gather to support each other. I talk about this in today’s podcast episode. We have more going on tonight and into tomorrow morning, but I’ll be ok. I have to be.It’s not an option to take time off from my writing and podcasting.
