Lissy Taylor is a rising British artist with an addictive indie sound for fans of HAIM, Phoebe Bridgers, Sam Fender and Wolf Alice.   Originally from Stoke-On-Trent, Lissy moved to the USA in 2015 where she began songwriting and performing. Returning to Manchester UK in 2017 to study at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM) graduating with a first-class honours degree in Songwriting in 2020.  ​Lissy has already had the BBC Introducing Record of The Week at BBC Stoke three times in a row so far in 2022. Lissy’s accolades include being shortlisted for Radio 1’s Live Lounge, premiere with CLASH Magazine, plays on BBC Radio 2, Radio X and X-POSURE Playlist. Record of the week with XS Manchester, multiple Records of the week BBC Introducing Stoke, top 40 and C Playlist on Amazing Radio and support and plays from Paul Gallagher (Islington Radio), Skin Skunk Anansie (Absolute Radio).   Lissy made her debut Sky TV’ appearance in 2021, performing a live set on Live from the Edge’ Ep10 presented by Mark Radcliffe and completed her first UK headline tour later that year, which included London's iconic music venue The Water Rats. These shows paved the way for Lissy to be named as one of This Feelings Big in 2022 and BBC Introducing Midlands Next Big Thing.  Lissy comes to talk to Graham Coath about her music!
