My next...

from Can't Be Silent · host Apuroopa Kavikondala

“Hey Kids, It’s Your Mom: Part One” by Apuroopa Kavikondala. September 1st, 2026. If this is your first time in my life when I’m releasing a book, here are some fun facts: * I’ve published all my books (except #4) on September 1st because that was the day I completed my Bharatanatyam Arangetram back in 2019. * My first three books are a realistic fiction series (with surprise cameos between them) on mental health told through the perspective of an Indian girl (and my third follows a multi-POV narrative). * Book 1: Cultural differences and fitting in * Book 2: Bullying and cyberbullying * Book 3: Grades do not define you * My fourth and fifth book are non-fiction of my life and everything I’ve learned so far. And for my sixth book, here’s everything you need to know: * I started recording “Hey Kids, It’s Your Mom” videos back in my sophomore year of high school, and pretty much all my friends have been featured during various of my life events. * This will be a memoir of my life from right after high school to the summer after sophomore year of college (ages 18-20). * This will be book 1 of a 5-book series, called “The 5 Chapters of A Decade”, where I will write one book every 2 years until I am 28. * It will show the development from me at 18, and just becoming an adult, to me at 28, in a completely different stage of my life (we’ll have to see where I end up! :)). I am so incredibly excited for this story to come together, and I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I loved living it. Here’s to 2026, and many more amazing things to come :) Cheers and so much love,-Apuroopa This is a public episode.
