My People Perish From Lack Of Knowledge-A Post Modern Anti-Nihilistic Meditation

This episode of Pneumatikos will explore some of the powerful spiritual insights of the prophet Amos.  Amos was called of Yehweh to speak redemptive havoc in a smooth season.  The northern kingdom was at the height of its economic and military prowess.  It also played creative mischief with the lives of the helpless poor while engaged in soul- rotting idolatry. Amos was recruited by Yahweh to address without apology or compromise the bewildering lies of the people.  Amos was told to leave the northern kingdom or be expelled by force.  Amos, however, remained constant in his redemptive focus.
