My Take On Shift To Remote Monitoring

With the new iteration of ICH/GCP R2 guidelines there has been a shift in the clinical research industry to a Risk based, remote monitoring approach to clinical research. This approach is supposed to reduce expenses for sponsors and cro's alike as well as produce stronger data to submit to the sponsor and the FDA.
