My Thoughts On Michigan Football's Sign Stealing | College Football 2023

In my opinion, it is clear that Michigan Football has had some competitive advantage since the 2021 College Football season. Whether that advantage was significant or not is up for debate. Michigan clearly was more physical and adaptive starting in 2021 than previous seasons, and that has more to do with coordinators and strength and conditioning practices rather than lower-level assistance. However, Connor Stalions was consistently in the ear of Michigan's coordinators, so maybe their adaptability was purely based on illegal scouting. Per reports from the extremely reliable Pete Thamel, Connor Stalions was in charge of an elaborate operation of illegal sign stealing, where Stalions would send agents into opposing stadiums to film the sidelines of other College Football teams. I am 99% sure Michigan Football cheated and I am 90% sure they will receive some type of penalty for their actions. In the perfect world, they should, however, there might be some unknown loopholes to exploit. I think Michigan should be fined a debatable amount of money and fire Stalions and suspend or fire any other assistants involved at the conclusion of this season.
