My Treasure, My Shepherd

It started with a German Shepherd who would not give up her ball. Not for treats, not for commands, not for anything. She would snatch it from thin air with the dexterity of a gazelle and disappear under the bushes to guard her hoard like a tiny furry dragon. Sound familiar? In this episode we watch one dog's journey from hoarding to sharing, and realize somewhere along the way that we have been doing the exact same thing with God. Our plans, our comfort, our control, our treasures, all stashed under the bushes while the Good Shepherd keeps tossing balls and waiting patiently for us to figure it out. The move from self-sufficiency to trust is the whole journey. And the balls always come back. I shall not want.
