My Unhealthy Relationship with a Narcissist and The Stages of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).

You may have come across narcissists during your lifetime, you may have dated one already or you may be in a relationship with one right now. Narcissists are individuals with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) who tend to be self centred, manipulative, arrogant and selfish individuals who lack empathy.   In this podcast episode, I will discuss what types of people the narcissist is attracted to. I will give the different types and stages of NPD as well as my personal experiences, which I hope will give you a better understanding of what to look out for if you are or have been in a relationship with a narcissist.I never knew about this disorder until I was actually dating a man with severe NPD. The abuse that I suffered from this relationship resulted in post-traumatic stress disorder and I had lost my internal glow, my spirit as well as my hair. I became severely depressed and a woman whom nobody around me even recognised. This is a really difficult topic for me to talk about as it was one of the most difficult experiences I ever went through but it was the one experience from which I went from being a victim to a victor. I gained strength and learnt how to become resilient and empowered. For those who are trying to get out from a confusing, toxic and unhealthy relationship with a narcissist, please do get help.
