My Updated Big Ten Football Predictions And Bowl Projections For 2023 | College Football 2023

We are only two weeks away from the 2023 College Football season kicking off in Dublin, Ireland, which means I must release my final drafts of my preseason predictions. Today, we will be reviewing and discussing my updated Big Ten predictions, along with bowl projections, for the 2023 season. The Big Ten will be the nation's best conference this year, as I have Michigan and Ohio State as the Top 2 teams in the Big Ten and in the entire country. Penn State is another team that I think has the potential to position itself inside of the Top 4 and contend for its first College Football Playoff birth. I believe Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois from the West and Michigan State and Maryland from the East are teams that could all finish with eight or more wins and contend for a Top 25 finish. However, only Michigan and Ohio State have a sizeable chance to win the conference, with Penn State having a slice of it and Wisconsin being a darkhorse longshot. The Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes are destined to contend for the National Championship this year, with offenses that score nearly 50 points per game and defenses that hold most opponents to under 20 points per game. Penn State will boast an elite defense as well, and while they do not have an elite offense like Michigan and Ohio State, they have a matchup advantage against the Buckeyes and host Michigan in a November home game. Wisconsin has a Top 10 head coach in Luke Fickell who both inherited a loaded roster from Paul Chryst and also hired Top 10 coordinators to coach the offense and defense.
