Myanmar "Coup" - Why should you care? Rather, why do world superpowers care? [E204]

from Weaver & Loom · host Lucas Skrobot

Well—I’m doubtful anyone (who is of true positions of political power) truly cares about “democracy” for small nation of Myanmar with the 53 million. All it takes is glancing at a map to see the geographical significance.   It is one of China path to the India Ocean and the AND is crucial for  China-Myanmar Economic Corridor (CMEC) where there is two oil and gas pipelines which run parallel to that project China is working to secure global trade route—which secures global influence, power, and ultimately dominance.  In the past 4 years an alliance has been forming the in Asia to stand against and resist China’s global dominance which has been called the QUAD.  The Quad is an alliance between China and the US, India and Australia. In this episode we coverBasis 101 players in the coup and who do they “side with”  (Hint not clear "good guy bad guy" here)Why does the global elite care about who is in power in Myanmar?Facebook, the demi-god of all truth and speech, has also stepped in to attempt to sway the outcome? (& what does that mean for the other 6.99 billion people in the world)Additional Links/Sources:https://www.geopolitica.ru/en/article/21st-century-geopolitics-multipolar-world-orderhttps://www.reuters.com/article/uk-myanmar-politics/myanmar-doctors-protest-against-coup-that-ousted-suu-kyi-idUKKBN2A22P9https://oneworld.press/?module=articles&action=view&id=1900https://oneworld.press/?module=articles&action=view&id=1901https://oneworld.press/?module=articles&action=view&id=1904https://oneworld.press/?module=articles&action=view&id=1905https://oneworld.press/?module=articles&action=view&id=1906https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-55902070https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-pacific-11685977https://www.wilsoncenter.org/blog-post/china-myanmar-economic-corridor-and-chinas-determination-see-it-throughhttps://www.mercurynews.com/2021/02/02/explainer-myanmar-burma-and-why-the-names-matter/https://www.thehindubusinessline.com/opinion/columns/g-parthasarathy/the-strategic-importance-of-myanmar/article33005114.ecehttps://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/11/25/what-is-the-quad-can-us-india-japan-and-australia-deter-chinahttps://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-41566561https://chinanews.net.au/2021/02/08/china-the-geopolitical-winner-of-myanmars-coup/https://www.politico.com/news/2021/01/31/myanmar-coup-464252Until next time… Be a purpose seeker, truth lover, and own your future. To take more steps to live a focus life to achieve your dreams and fulfill your destiny–get my book Anchored the Discipline to Stop Drifting.  https://amzn.to/2Vwb22nThank you for listening, and as always you can find me at:WhatsApp: +1-202-922-0220LucasSkrobot.comClubhouse: @LucasSkrobotTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@lucasskrobotLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lucasskrobotInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/lucasskrobot ★ Support this podcast ★
