MyBroadband Conference - Calvin Collett

Calvin Collett is the Chief Executive Officer at Supersonic. Collett is an entrepreneur from his epicentre has formed a fundamental role in the business of software and systems support across the South African IT sector. Calvin’s career took off when made a name for himself at Accenture, then the Automobile Association and finally, was retained as the software support specialist by Getronics. Calvin then founded iConnect that focussed on quality, voice connectivity solutions – which progressed to the emerging VoIP sector. In a short space of time, Calvin’s business had grown to an entire network which naturally received significant interest from the likes of Telco giant, MTN. Calvin was unsurprisingly headhunted by the leading African network to turn around their ‘fibre to the home’ business (then Smart Village), from the captain’s chair, with a ‘renewed focus and direction’; and name – Supersonic.
