The Darkest Year was the hardest year of my life. I moved across the country, leaving behind the love of my life in search of a new chapter. The regret I felt in leaving her paled only in comparison to the betrayal of my best friend of seven years, who nearly made me homeless in my new foreign territory. Out of options, I was plucked out of dire straights by a caring but familiar stranger, hundreds of miles away, who would reveal herself to be just as two faced, forcing me into the same situation in yet another new town. This EP chronicles just a small selection of the few ups and infinite downs of my fall during that year. A forthcoming album will tell the full the story and eventual redemption.
