The Bible is deliberately mysterious about time because GOD orchestrates it. It is a mystery---it can speed up---or slow down. From the human perspective it is completely perceptual, from GOD’s it is elastic. In scripture, as in music, it is based on intervals---the spaces between tones and beats. We do not control it, but we DO participate. Kronos and chairos intertwine, they swirl, they dance, and eventually, they intersect into spectacular events.
